Caffe Vergnano is a company with a long and prestigious history. Founded in 1882, when Domenico Vergnano, ancestor of the present family, established his business opening a small grocery in the medieval city of Chieri situated at the foot of the hills surrounding Turin. The shop soon started to specialize in the roasting and sale of coffee, defining the Vergnano family's true vocation. A vocation nourished by courageous decision, such as the purchase in the 30's of a coffee plantation in Kenya, while in Italy business grew rapidly with the establishment of the first three warehouses in Turin, Alba and Chieri. In the meantime, the company had the capacity of transporting itself into one of the most reputable coffee producers in Italy, a success which gives its thanks to the continual search for quality, a quality much appreciated by the real coffee connoisseur that has recognized Caffe Vergnano for more than a century. High selection of the green coffee imported in juta sacks by 9 different countries. Each origin is roasted separately. Individually roasted to perfection to accentuate the full aroma and quality of each and every bean. Slow roasting method is what gives Vergnano an evenly balanced taste. Today, in the top five Italian coffee companies with a 8000 square meters plant and 11 automated production lines, the 4th generation of the family faces the future confidently, aiming at international development with its own chain of coffee-shops under the Caffe Vergnano 1882 brand name. There are already 32 shops located in Italy, London, Paris, Munich, Nice, Riga, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and in Vancouver, Canada.
