Modern life is a life of gadgets.

We need machines to operate – many of us cannot do without our phones, our iPods, our cars and our computers.

Machines make our lives more comfortable and easier, save us time and help us to multi-task and become more efficient.

A new gadget has hit the news headlines recently too – and this one helps us to make and enjoy a good cup of coffee while we are on the move.

There is a company which is based in France called Handpresso, which specialises in helping people to make themselves a cuppa when they are out and about, but the latest gadget in their range is called the Handpresso Auto.

What does it do?

It allows you to make a cup of coffee when you are in your car.

According to reports, it produces a 'premium' cup of joe.

It is a simple design, which fits into the cup-holders in a car.

In terms of powering the device, you can do so by plugging into a 12V cigarette lighter, which is inbuilt to many models of car.

Then the only thing you need to do is to add water and a coffee pod of your favourite blend and wait for the machine to do the rest for you.

Of course, reports on the use of the machine have also added a little warning – as with all gadgets in the car, it is preferable that you pull over to operate the machine, rather than to try to set the coffee making machine while driving.
